This week you build on your study of theory. You consider management models, how models and theory differ, and how they work together. You also examine closely the connections between theories, models, scholarship, and actual management practice.

Learning Objectives

You will:

• Analyze connections between theories, scholarship, and practice
• Apply theories to management practices
• Evaluate management theories and models

Skills

You will develop the following skills:

• Applies principles of relevant theory and functional best practices to the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; performs intermediate logical, mathematical, or linguistic analyses of information
• Proactively identifies opportunities for positive changes to existing approaches, processes, and products, as well as identifies some prospects for impactful innovation
